| Anyone running 265 35 17 tires on a 9 inch rim? I am either going with that size or 255 40 17. A little worried that a 265 may be too wide. If anyone has done this let me know. |

Are you asking if the 265 would rub on the car, or are you asking if the tire is simply too wide for the rim?
If the former: We'd need the offset of the rim to know for sure.
If the latter, you can run 265's on a 9in rim just fine, 275's, 285's, and 295's fit too. 315's have a bit of a bulge on a 9in rim, but I know several people running them on their Mustangs. _________________ '80 924 Turbo - SOLD!

Not worried about clearance. Just want a safe bead angle and good handeling.
A 295? That is a tire over 11.5 inches wide on a 9 inch rim with not much sidewall to give. |
