Here is the situation (forgive me, if I'm just being a knucklehead):
I picked up some new Lemforder outer tie rod ends from Paragon to put on the sled and am having an issue with their installation. I measured everything up and put the new ends on but when I go to attach the tie rod shaft to the spindle, I find that the nut they provided is a pinch stlye nut and not a castle nut. This creates a bit of a problem because the tie rod end shaft just spins when I try to tighten the nut to the spindle. If I do get the nut torqued down this would make it next to impossible to take it back apart. Anyone else run into this?

Can you jack up the tie rod end to put some tension on the shaft and provide enough friction to stop the shaft from spinning when you torque the nut on? _________________ '88 944 Auto - may or may not resurrect |
