| it starts up great cold, in the cold after sitting over 6+ hours sitting. It starts great after warming up and stopping for groceries. If it sits for between (this is the best I can tell so far) 25 mins and 4 hours it acts like it's flooded? I know the new aux air regulator is working well, obviously, so is the warm up regualtor. Is there some sort of evap system for the fuel that would cause this? Any ideas? |

| injectors seemed perfect at the beginning of the summer when I last checked. Fuel accumulator makes perfect sense, as does leaking injectors. Where is the accumulator? |

its under the right rear of the car next to the gas tank.
if you want to make sure thats your issue hook up a fuel pressure tester and see if pressure drops (slowly or not) after you shut the engine off _________________ early 77 924 na |

| thanks, I'll do that. The fuel pump is new, a Walbro, less than 4k on it, so, I'm pretty sure that's working well |

You can test your accumulator by unscrewing the little flat head screw at the bottom of it. If gas comes out, it's bad. You ahve to run the car for a minute to give it a chance to accumulate the fuel.
Some cars have 2 20cc accumulators and it is recommended that you upgrade them to 1 40cc accumulator. If you got the cash, buy new, but often you can buy 3 or 4 used ones for 50 bucks total and at least one is usually good. _________________ 1980 924 NA

I have the same problem with my n/a. It's fine most of the time, but if it sits for only about 3-4 hours (a very specific time-frame) it won't start. I've gone through the entire fuel system - flushed, replaced the filter and accumulator (replaced w/40cc), and had the distributor rebuilt, but this still happens!
Oh, and if you are getting the 20cc, there are two of them. _________________ 1977 Porsche 924 - sold

I had some debris or a nick in an o-ring in the my fuel pressure regulator (screwed into the side of my fuel distributor on my 931) that caused a similar problem. _________________ "Never get out of the boat. Absolutely goddamn right. Unless you are goin' all the way."
