Hey folks,
The first issue I am taking care of on my new 924 is the drivers side window is stuck down and the power window motor doesn't work. This is bad news because here in Oregon, it rains alot and I'd prefer not having to wade through puddles of water inside the car.
My first thought is to disconnect the motor from the window so I can push the window up, rig something under it and complete the seal to keep the dreaded water out.
Is it as simple is unscrewing the bolts connecting the motor to the door/window? |

Yep.
The window is heavy though so be ready to catch it...
The window has 2 channels on the bottom the window regulator has to wheels in the channels, undo the bolts, get someone to support the glass then slide the rollers to on end until the disengage the channels (I think they need to go backwards but it's pretty obvious)
The window can then be lifted up and out.

Thanks Rich! |
