Well we suffered a crack in the windshield somewhere in N. Califoirnia and watched it get worse. We decided to get it fixed in Las Vegas.

After calling the ford dealership we called a service that they use. Nice guys a father and son team. Took them bout 45 minutes & they used good
glass from ford & the hit dealerships have taken.

The guy has had his business for bout 20 yrs. They were quicke,
knew what they were doing and friendly. Of course he said work has slowed alot due to the economy.

Some may not realize but the larger insurance companies have glass replacement as a rider option on your insurance and has no deductible and does not effect you insurance rating.
It cost very little and its worth it when you need your windshield replaced. I've had 4 windshield replacements in my cars and it is worth having.

These guys were very knowledgeable in the different types of glass
out there, we inisted on ford replacement glass... These guys have
a very nice gig going & were pretty quicke as well as fun to be around
as you see I was picture happy or bored, If I remember it was pretty hot

i just did my windshield in my car and found that it was actually much easier than i expected, i have done some older cars that had the solid rubber seal. i dont know for sure but i would say that the 924 might be one of the first cars to use the adhesive sealed windshield.

You think so me too. Ive done 4 with the last one breaking on me ...
I removed the first at a parts yard a few yrs back, and took out the old at home and installed the yard one, thats three. The forth was a 944 early
windshield the same car I took the front sheetmeta,l from, little impatience
& pulling before cutting thru the adhesive and it cracked I think its best to use some wire. Soon I have to pull two and and install one of them, cant
waite. The same butyl rope adhesive is used on the rear tailights which I also need to detail and install .. soon.
