Anyone have a picture of a 1982 NA Piston?

Took the engine to the rebuilder yesterday and he felt that my 1982NA might have turbo pistons instead of NA ones.

Mine look identical to the ones in the engine section of the Haynes manual.

I was a rookie when I had the engine rebuilt 14 years ago and this is the first time I've seen then since.

Both NA and turbo pistons are dished, he is most likly expecting to see a flat top.

Yes, but only the NA has valve reliefs and doesn´t sit flush to the blockdeck like the turbopistons.

Turbos have a really insane dish, look like you could use them to hold candy.

The Mahle std pistons with valve reliefs in my NA engine have a similar dish like the once showed in the Haynes Engine section.
(So you should be good I geuss: Do you use the euro valve sizes?)

NA 1982
Mahle 86,49 (light dish)

NA (?spare engine)
Kolbensmidt 86,98 (short dish)

Turbo piston
(deep dish, off center) ^images http://www.924.org/techsection/technical.htm

Any idea if they are cast of forged?
How deep is the dish?
Are they 100% non-interferance?
Do they sit flush to the deck?

Harm - is the first pic you posted euro pistons? I think they are. I thought all the NA north American pistons had lots of dish and euros had a very slight dish with big valve clearances.
