Anyone use these? Do they work well? Safe? I trailer Spike back and forth to WI and NM, and to events. Crawling underneath the car to strap it down is not fun.

Seems like a PITA to swap that in... I just use the front tow-hook and the ends of the torsion bar carriers at the rear.
Well, actually, the front I now tie down directly to the tires, through the spokes of the rims... have nice e-track tie-downs for that. _________________ Vaughan Scott

You wouldn't want to tying down through highly polished Fuchs now would you??
I'd rather spend 10 minutes bolting on that tie down loop than screw up some perfect wheels. If you are running a track car with track wheels then i guess no problem _________________ 1980 931 - forged pistons, Piper cam, K27/26 3257 6.10 hybrid turbo, 951 FMIC, custom intake, Mittelmotor dizzy & cam pulley, H&S exhaust, GAZ Gold, Fuch'ed, Quaife

Seems to me that this would be quicker/easier than the four 2" straps I currently employ. We also bought a 2-wheel dolly this past fall which eliminates the full size trailer on short hauls. _________________ '83 944 Track car.

You know I wouldd want straps, toe hook is a good spot,
Screw hooks or wear a groove on the rim.. eventualy.
I have 2 ratchet type nylon ones to use if there was a trailer.
You cant crawl underneath. You have to roll it up & toss
it under the car. _________________ 1979 porsche 924 Na

We used wheel loop ratchet tiedowns on race cars many years ago and currently in our trailer with quads. You can get folding bolt thru the floor hooks from any of the trailer supply places etrailer etc. The only issue might be having clearance in the wheel well to operate the ratchet. Hauled race cars as far as St. Louis to LA and Montreal on a slope bed trailer using that system and currently in southern Mexico and it works well for the quads. Tie down is similar to a car dolly type. _________________ Mike
