| Planning on being there also but not in the 924. The 924 is more race car than street car and the wife hates climbing over the door bar on the passenger side. |

Now Chicago is doable! I think we've ruled out Keystone for this year...as nice as Keystone is, just too hard to get there with everything else going on. Maybe, just maybe, I can unveil the UWB by next year's parade! Now there's a goal to shoot for! _________________ erstwhile owner of just about every 924 variant ever made |

Huh, the girlfriend has relatives there and I've never been to Chicago before. Might be a fun trip! I'll pass the idea past her and see what she thinks. _________________ Stefan

You, my friend, are a deprived human.
You need to get there. And you should drive all the way in your toofah I can recommend some scenic stops along the way... _________________ erstwhile owner of just about every 924 variant ever made |

Sadly, me neither. Even though I have seen Ferris Bueller in the 100's of times, at least, I've never gotten to Chicago. I need to recreate that day. My own coming of age, in my 30s. All I need is a replica Ferrari and some 80's clothes. _________________ 1987 951 - M193 Version for Japan |

Well, I've been to Boston, DC and New York and of course Niagra Falls as part of a family road trip from the East Coast to the West Coast. We skipped Chicago and trundled through Canada and dropped back into the States around Montana (Canada's road system took too damned long apparently) and then headed back to Canada via the Ferry in Washington to visit Victoria before heading home to Portland. Fun trip, but it was a long ride in the back of that 89 Accord!
Yeah, a trip to Chicago in the 924 would be interesting, I'd have to do some work to it to make it comfortable enough for the SO to enjoy the trip in it. For the trip to San Diego, Dad and I aren't as concerned about overall comfort as we are about performing well at the event. _________________ Stefan

Chicago is a FANTASTIC place to visit. I wouldn't want to live there, but so much great music, food, and cultural stuff. Definitely a top-5 city in the U.S. _________________ erstwhile owner of just about every 924 variant ever made |

I live there. Well the western suburbs anyway. We want out. I agree, it is a nice place to visit but it's definately not a good place to live IMO.
We may go but it depends on when it is. My wife just started a one year LPN to RN (nurse) program and with her new schedule I will not have much time to do anything. And she had to cut her work hours a lot so the $$$ won't be there either. |
