I keep getting inquiries about valve springs, even though the few spare sets I one had are long gone.

Post your interest here for stock replacement springs to suit both N/A and turbo. These come as as boxed set of both inner and outer springs. Same as the last group buy. Budget for at least $100 AUSTRALIAN DOLLARS, whatever that is in your local currency. PLUS shipping. Any final price TBA.

Also may look into a bigger, longer, harder version, if there is the interest. Actually have a sample here of the extra performance version and a handful of various retainers as well. Higher revving, higher lift, higher boost. Goal is to replace the stock rotators with extra spring coils.

I am in for a set, sure does look like response to this is pretty low, maybe it should be in the Wanted and For Sale section... I will be tearing into a cylinder head in a few months, would be nice to have new springs.

Still got the set from the last group-buy. My enginebuilder told me they were too short and needed spacer Could be the valveseats..?

Well, I am interested in a set for a high-lift cam. Coilbind is therefore very important. No need to make them harder since I intend to use lighter valves.

Your stock springs, if factory original, are worn out and likely allowing the valves to float. . .bad. This is a fairly low cost, and fairly mandatory item for refreshing a high mileage toofah head, IMO.

agreed, but i'm interested if i need to do any other work on the head because of these springs. i dont want to have to replace the valves or something just because of that.

RC can answer for sure, but I think these are direct stock replacements and don't require any mods to install.

I've installed two sets, both for big valve heads, and had no issues. Should be direct fit replacement for OEM.

If anyone is interested, I can get complete sets of heavy duty springs (the same ones used in the EMW big valve setup) that are recommended for anything beyond a Stage II cam. The HD springs do require a special spring seat on the exhaust valve, which comes with the set. As far as I can tell, these are pretty much available on-demand, no minimum purchase or special ordering.

Would be possible to make light (titanium) retainers for a valve with thinner stem?

I'm sure it could be done, but I'm also fairly certain my supplier would want a valve sample in order to produce something like that...
