Hi all, we are racing our 924S in the lomons race this weekend may 7/8th
It is a lemons race so i was wondering if anybody around these could give you their contact info incase we break something we can buy some parts from them.
924 parts are not shelf items as you all know, lol
either PM me or contact me at my email pyropete125 at gmail dot com
i dont really know what we would or will need but somthing from a parts car or old pile of crap might be worth its weight in gold to use this weekend.
thanks,
pete

Looks like Turnpike Auto Parts in New Ipswich has an engine, and steering knuckles for example. Must have the whole car on hand. Good luck with the race, jealous! _________________ '83 944 Track car.

Lol, makes perfect sense- anybody that loves the ugly duckling xr4ti must love all of the" _____-only a mother could love" cars.
I hope we get some good seat time in and finish the race top half of the field.

well the weekend started friday with a rock and a cracked windshield on the trailer on the highway and we failed tech.
a hastey home depot lexan windshield passed tech.
friday night a milkshake oil change- a few flushing oil changes and coolant changes and a bottle of bars leak radiator leak stop and it stopped.
staurday afternoon an exploded oil filter that caused an oiled down the track black flaged us. more coffee latte coolant and oil. the o rings on the oil heat exchanger let go- fixed that sat night and flushed a few times again and was ready for sunday.
sunday didnt know if it was fixed- but ran strong all day and was able to drive it on the trailer.
i have a few hours of in car video racing i will post.
we did pick up another complete motor, radiator and fans, and set of aluminum phone dial wheels and 2 boxes of parts on the way home from the nicest guy fellow lemons racer for a grand total of $120
overall it was a good weekend dispite a dismal 46th place finish. we did have a 5th fastest 1:29.3 time and fastest lap was 1:28.3 - most people running in the 1:32-1:38

no, i dont think so. i would normally agree with you, but we shut it down after the mixing within less than a minute with only idling when it mixed. it has 4-5 bars oil pressure and we were only running water.
everything seems fine and it ran strong and great all day sunday.
