Did it once and then removed it.
Fix the problem, dont bypass it.

Here's an excellent read to get you started on Ozzie's suggestion:

FWIW, some time after I posted all this, I discovered a little tidbit in the owner's manual. It's Smoothie's infamous "depress accelerator BEFORE cranking" when the car is hot. I don't have the manual for the NA here with me or I'd quote it.

In any event, I started doing this, and the hot start problem has gone away. So I think my system is fine, I just needed to RTFM. Go figure!??

also I do believe keeping the coolant temps low help, so a lower temp fan sensor and thermostat help, lastly an oil cooler is a great bit of kit.

Everytime a CSV is hacked, a unicorn dies.

Why not repair the problem instead?

i had a similar problem, very embaressing to say the least.was looking into getting a replacement unit, but by chance i noticed a leak at the rear of the car,got underneath and low and behold, the fuel accumulator was leaking.
fortunately i had a spare one, when i picked the spare one up i noticed it had a small screw in the bottom,so before i went about changing it i got under the car and took the screw out,cos thats where it was leaking from, anyway this might be helpful to some of you,i then got some plumbers tape and put a bit around the screw ,i then screwed it back into the accumulater ,and hey presto no more leak and starts easy from hot now

I've been thinking about oil coolers. If I were to install an oil cooler on my toofah, would I also want a thermostat to go with it? I mean, I think it might be a good idea to have it so that the oil cooler would not turn on until the engine gets a little too hot. I mean, I wouldn't want the cooler to turn on while the engine is trying to warm up, I would only really want it on if the engine starts to get too hot, like in stop and go traffic on a hot desert day (and we get a lot of those around here!)

By the way, can anybody recommend a good oil cooler/thermostat set up for a 924 NA?

You do need a t-stat. . .without one, high OP on startup could pop your cooler.

You are losing holding pressure in the fuel line.
Pressure should drop to about 20psi and stay there for several hours after shutdown.
This could be the non return valve in the pump (or on the pump), accumulator(s), pressure regulator in the CIS dissy, WUR or injectors.

The pressure regulator is a small 'o' ring in the CIS and the cheapest part.
Most of the remainder can be checked easily.

Yea that is my problem to when I full my car up with fuel it leaks from the left rear, I can't see where from though which is frustrating.
Ever since I noticed that my car has been playing up more and more

I just found a split in a fuel line, the line that connects to the very top if the fuel dizzy could that cause loss of fuel pressure?
