'cause I just blew the muffler off my car.

I was trying to get MegaSquirt tuned well enough to start it (again). Needless to say after a month of dicking around, I'm getting tired of futzing with MegaSquirt.

Seriously, I'm stumped and rather frustrated at this point as I'm going to miss the 924 gathering at the Portland Historic Races. The only comment I've gotten from the MSextra board after looking at my datalog is about the lack of vacuum, which is so helpful to an engine running Alpha_N (especially as it is running large ITB's so vacuum will be a bit weird).

At least the neighbors around me were firing off M80's so my little explosion didn't seem to cause any concern among the neighbors on my street. Still, without a muffler, no more tuning until I get it replaced

If I get time, I'll replace the muffler tonight and pull a log and post it up.

Seems like I get it to cough on crank, so I start upping the REQ_fuel to get it running and even going .1ms at a time, I end up with too much fuel and fowled plugs.

Then you have some other setting problems. Are you sure that your injector opening times are set correctly?

Just had a look at your datalog, and something is extremely wonky. Your RPM spikes to 4243 rpm, your pulsewidths spike to 13, your CLT is all over the place. Do you have a logfile from when the car was running previously that I can look at?

As a suggestion I would also consider setting your entire spark table to 10 degree's advance until you can get the thing to idle correctly. Its trying to command -0.1 spark when your cranking which probably won't help things a whole lot.

Went back through the settings and made some corrections.

SAW is disconnected, bit I corrected the spark table.

Car runs now.

I have a leak in the exhaust that is skewing the oxygen sensor readings, so I'll need to sort that out before doing much tuning.

Why do you post a"happy 4th of july" on the 6Th of july?

And why dont you stick with the original LEISTRITZ MUFFLER which will last for 20 Years minimum?

Because it was a joke. As when it exploded, it sounded like a firework.

Because the stock muffler and exhaust isn't what was on the car.
