| my tech found that the bosch sensor fron a 2.8 BMW is almost a perfect fit. he is going to need to bore the bellhousing out a few hundreths, but it is going to work, when I know the part # and the size increase I will let everyone know |

Someone have a known bad one that could be taken apart?
I believe, but am not sure, that they are only a coil with or without a core(?). If we knew for sure there were no encapsulated caps or diodes or other stuff then we might be able to make new.
If you want, send it to me, or take it apart yourself. Need to be willing to count the turns. _________________ John

Found a couple of possible fits from BMWs:
12 14 1 730 027, from a '93-ish 320i
12 14 1 247 259, from a '94-ish 318i
These suckers aren't cheap, so I'm not going to be the guinea pig, but figured I'd put it out there since no one else has come up with specific model years...
...here's what the 318i unit looks like:
