| The mileage is low, but I've never heard of, or seen a 1989 924S. Here in the US, Porsche only marketed the 924S up through the 1988 model year. |

Looks decent enough, but service history is critical on these. . .timing belt and clutch will set you back a big chunk of change. _________________ Toofah King Bad

The white one looks great, but it I would guess it was an 1986, non S. I think they only offered black or tan interiors for the S cars. Nice colour combo though.
The black one looks pretty good too, but is that mildew on the carpet in the hatch? Hard to believe it has under 20k kms. |

Let's be careful here. Both cars linked to are the 2.5L 924S. In 1988, there was a 924S "SE" (for Special Edition). For the North American market, it was only offered in Black exterior with a special grey and dark red (maroonish) interior, distinguishable by the sunroof delete and driver side only mirror. Also had uprated suspension and higher compression engine. _________________ erstwhile owner of just about every 924 variant ever made |

True that, and you've been around these cars a ton more than me, but it does not follow that the white/brown car with a passenger side mirror is a 924S?
Regardless, a quick pic of the engine bay and interior should tell us more. |

Any narrow body car produced from 1986-1988 will have the 2.5L motor, and is a 924S. _________________ erstwhile owner of just about every 924 variant ever made |

Yeah, I suppose it could be a ROW 1986 model in Canada.
Did the 1986 cars get the old toofah interior or the updated interior? |

Not a ROW car, doesn't have ROW bumpers. It is almost certainly a plain jane 1987 924S. There were very few 1986 924S cars brought into North America. The only thing wrong with that listing that I can see is they have the motor displacement incorrectly listed as 2.7L. The white car is an '87 924S by all appearances. Not sure why you feel it is anything otherwise... _________________ erstwhile owner of just about every 924 variant ever made |
