Hi, wonder if anyone can help me! My 924 is continually running the battery flat after about 3 days standing. Now, the first think I went for is the live lead at the starter, thinking it was shorting , but no- it's fine.
Next I replaced the alternator, thinking it's faulty and no other obvious faults visible. Made no difference, still charges fine. It's not the battery as it was replaced , thinking that was all that was wrong was a dodgy battery.
Now, I have noticed on reconnecting the battery that I get a small flash on one of the smaller red terminals on the positive side. Am I correct in thinking these 2 smaller wires are into the alternator loom?
And to top it all, the fuel pump relay isn't kicking in 100%- could this be linked to the battery going flat? _________________ 1985 924 n/a,1982 928s |

Hook up the multimeter in ampermeter mode and check the current consumption. Then start to remove fuses and watch for changes. If current drops with removal of one of the fuses, this circuit is the culprit. _________________ '83 924 2.6 16v Turbo, 470hp
