Hi , I might be coming back to the porsche world , i saw a 928s today and it looks good , all original (got an aftermarket radio ) , some tears in the driver and pass seats , only got 60000 original miles and the paint looks decent
I know with my 924 i had heaps of problems , like starter , fuel pump and earth problems , so this time i want to make sure i cover everything.
Service history is unknown , apparently the car has been standing in a shed for a few years and the guy just got it out to see if someone wants to buy it. Apparently he bought the car for his wife and she never liked it so he stored it
What do i look for?
Thanks

One word: electrics
If you thought you had trouble with electrics in the 924, you will be thrilled to know the 928 compounds those issues four-fold. Especially likely on one that's been sitting. _________________ erstwhile owner of just about every 924 variant ever made |

I own a 1982 928S. They are very time consuming to work on, and if you do not know them, your going to be learning a lot. Ideola stated above to look out for electrics. This is very true! I made the mistake at the time when I bought the car 2 years ago of now looking needed parts over.
It payed off for me getting a not so decent condition 928, as it has allowed me to learn a lot about it as I have gone through quite a lot. I have all of my electrics working now, but it was not easy.
It takes a world full of patience and time. _________________ 1979 Porsche 924- Snailshell
