I have a 1977 Martini & Rossi that I just bought and I am trying to restore to OEM. Couple of questions
Which muffler is period correct? Round OR Oval?
Also there looks like a round muffler/Cat on the mid pipe between the headers and rear muffler. My car is a Non- Cat car. What could this be?
The diagrams on Auto Atlanta are a bit misleading, any help would be great!
Thanks guys |

If I'm not mistaken the muffler on the earlier cars, like the Martini, is round. I would check the P.E.T. catalog if I were you. I have a Martini and the muffler is round. I believe that period pictures that I have of the Martini from Porsche literature show a round muffler as well.
The round muffler like thing that you see before the final muffler is just that, an intermediate muffler. It was only found on the earlier non-cat cars if I remember correctly. _________________ 1981 931 |
