I've been searching for rear torsion bar dimensions but can't find what I remember reading some time ago.
I'm getting ready to find some rear T-bars for the 924 race car and want to make sure I get the right parts. Preferably, I would like hollow 34 mm rear bars that fit my '79 chassis with the dogleg box. I'm not sure if there is a difference between the '79 dogleg and later audi box suspensions (and T-bar length and spline counts).

No difference. We have the 34mm hollow bars in the #77.

Order now; ours took 6 months to deliver.

Vaughan,
Did you get them from Weltmeister or Sanders?
Paragon supposedly sells Weltmeisters but the ad isn't clear as to whether they have 924 or 924S T-Bars. I was wondering if the 924S and 944 are the same as the older 924.
Sanders site is under construction and re-sellers only advertise for 924S and 944.
Thanks,
Chuck

They are all the same internally at least up to the 89 so far as I know, I don't know about the 944 S2 or 968.

The differences are external (how the housings are mounted or whether the arms are cast aluminum or stamped steel)

I got mine from Paragon; brand unknown. They seemed very custom...

(I tend to get the vast majority of my P-car suspension stuff from Paragon - excellent selection and support, etc).

Paragon Products is the best! After all the money I spent with them over the years, I think Jason has a boat named after it's benefactor: "Jeremy Jadczak" hahaha. They are really good guys and I got my torsion bars from them, actually two sets of them for two racing 924's. Don't wait though.
