There are many variables you are dealing with here besides just oil and cars. How hard do you drive the car, What kind of fuel do you use, what tune and mechanical shape is the car in, what temperature extremes do you face on a daily basis, how damp, how dusty, do you start the car and shut it off before fully warmed up? How much sludge and deposits are in your engine that contaminate even fresh oil? Have your oil tested for breakdown and contamination and adjust your oil change intervals to your personal needs. I admit I change my oil alot more than I need to, but I like to see clean clear oil on my dipstick and I like to see a clean sparkly engine when I open it up. Wasteful? Maybe, but I am happy. _________________ 87 924s
