All,
I'm in the middle of trying to get my car started again. Currently no spark.
I pulled the DITC and had a look. From first glance I thought I saw a blown circuit board trace, but I believe it to be a manufacturer modification.
I also noticed that two pins are solder(shorted) together, on the bottom.
I've marked the drawings.
I'm moving onto the crank sensor, but if that passes I'll be back onto this.
This doesn't look that bad to repair. All the chips are logic AND, NOR, Quad multiplexers, etc... The Box caps might be an issue.
Anyways... posting what I got for knowledge sakes.

As before, you shouldn't be posting these in the 924S section...this section is for the 2.5L cars, not the 2.0L (NA or turbo). Your posts would be of more value (for posterity's sake) if placed in the correct forum...anyone in the future looking for this info isn't going to think to look for it in this section. _________________ erstwhile owner of just about every 924 variant ever made |

Known good DITC, removed from a car that had been running until it was catastrophically crashed (not one of mine, thankfully!). I looked at two units, and they both looked identical in terms of the "broken" trace, just like yours.
