Bought another cheap car to add to the cheap car fleet. It's a 1988 924S, with about 100K miles on it. Lots of dents, rust free dents btw! Very clean engine bay and underside. The interior is pretty ratty, missing trim, carpet, stuff.
Oh, and 1100 bucks! Not sure what I'm going to do with it, the engine runs great, but needs a clutch disc; I think.
Nice tips...

Looks nice, and that's my favourite interior color combination (same as my DD 44 but my door cards are all black. I like yours better). What's the story with the front bumper? 100K miles? It's still a baby![/url] _________________ '88 944 Auto - may or may not resurrect |

If you are interested, I'd sell the door cards, I have a nice set of black w/Porsche script I like better. Good eyes, that side of the bumper is pushed in, hope its just a collapsed bumper shock! Can't tell if any damage, will have to get it on the car lift. _________________ '83 944 Track car.

Lift the hood and check the frame rails on each side of the engine compartment for wrinkles

$1100 sounds a little high for a car in that condition, especially one that may need a clutch... _________________ 1980 924 NA

Perhaps. But, recently sold our Jeep CJ5 and made a 1200 dollar profit on it, so this car actually was free~! _________________ '83 944 Track car.

I still shudder when I see a 944 engine. I have horrible nightmares of working on mine.
Either way nice find! Congratulations! If you need a clutch tutorial let me know, I did a full pictorial write-up for them over on 944online. _________________ - 1977 Porsche 924 2.0 N/A (Trackday Project)

Not sure she'll like that, she drives like a scalded cat on the highway though! She got a ride in a 'modern' 911 in New Mexico. The driver hit the brakes so hard, without telling her first, going into a turn that she swore off driving DEs. _________________ '83 944 Track car.

Yeah, Dave - keep me in mind for those door cards. I can't do anything ATM but I'll be flush again in a couple of months when work season starts up again. BTW, Mandy wants your exhaust tips...
Corse's clutch tutorial is very good - I used in for reference for my 84 944 clutch change.
Can I just move in on your farm, make pizzas and work on Porsches? _________________ '88 944 Auto - may or may not resurrect |

She can have the tips!
I'm just tossing a car cover on the S, draining the fuel, and storing it. Any time you want the door cards, let me know! We're trying to sell the 50 acre farm and restaurant! Let me know if yer interested~! _________________ '83 944 Track car.

Time to retire? I can fix P-cars, but making pizza may be out of my league. Still, in a bucolic setting like yours there'd be the right atmosphere for learning. Why are you selling?
I'll be in touch about the loot sometime before the snow flies.
Cheers! _________________ '88 944 Auto - may or may not resurrect |
