Hey fellas, hows tricks?

Anyways,
I am going to putting a stereo into my car this weekend...(I do car stereo design in my free time for peoples) and something struck me as a possible issue.
A 75amp alternator.

Is there a replacement alternator, I would like to have at the very least 90amp, would prefer 120.

I run amps to everything I do. This car will have 4 5" woofers, 2 in doors(or molded into the wall on the door side) and 2 behind the doors, thats one amp. It will then have 4 tweeters, 2 in dash, 2 above rear seat...another amp. it will then have subs put into the rear, which is another amp.

So, in short: 3 amps, 4 tweeters, 4 woofers, 2 subs. I just dont think 75amp will cut it.
Any ideas? cross reference parts? Something I can do to make my alternator deal well with this much power coming in?
I am hip to ideas, and would love to hear about other stereo setups in the 24's.

There is a 90A alternator available. Other than that, it is going to take a bit of fabricating, but you can install a CS-144 alternator in you car. It has a ton of different amps available all the way up to 350A!

Check out my how-to write up:

I have a 150A solution that is nearly bolt-in for both NA and 931, but it is not cheap. $245 + $20 drop shipped from the wholesaler. I've been running one in the 941 for a little over a year now with no issues. I also have one in the Club Sport. The only thing that is not 100% bolt-in is that the mounting bosses are made for 10mm bolts rather than the stock 8mm bolts on our cars. You can remedy this by getting a small section (<1 foot is sufficient, but I had to buy a minimum length of 3') of 3/8" ID copper tubing from your local hardware and cutting it to the length of the mounting bosses to use as a home-made bushing.

Here are some details from the spec sheet on my 150A replacement alt:
Max alternator output: 190A
Max output power: 2437W
Voltage set point: 14.5
Leakage current: 0.42
Ripple current: 42
Alternator turn on speed: 1531 RPM
Regulator activation speed: 1419 RPM

Output current table (tested at 12.8V):
1600 RPM: 72A
1800 RPM: 96A
2000 RPM: 116A
2400 RPM: 143A
3500 RPM: 169A
5000 RPM: 183A
6000 RPM: 190A

Terminals / Application: Universal J plug with 5 wires. Field is protected by "in-line" fuse. The alternator has an internal voltage regulator, as well as an internal fan and an integral shield on the back.

Last two images are as-installed on the new 941 motor with all stock mounting hardware and stock 931 belt.
