I'd like to help you but this thread will go unanswered without more information on your part. Are you posting because you have a 924 that does not idle correctly? _________________ 1979 924 NA

I'm sorry for guys, I wasn't very specific. Here is the story I bought an '81 924. It will star but it dies after warm up. I've checked cam timing, Ignition timing, warm up system and fuel system everything checks out to be good except for that part (idler controler) it is cooked, few resistors inside are burned. I hope somebody has a solution to my problem thank you guys. |

Oh, they're good...very good. Here's this thread where I am talking to myself about said box http://www.924board.org/viewtopic.php?t=36956
Edit: I will do some more tinkering with it by passed or maybe look for a good used one. _________________ I got nothin'

Proper nomenclature is the Electronic Idle Stabilizer, (EIS). It is fond only on the 1981 and 1982 U.S. spec 924 NA's. Have been unable to locate a new one for a couple years. Ended up bypassing it per the Haynes Manual for over a year now with no ill effects. It seems the best you can do if you do desire a replacement is taking a chance on a used one. What it is designed to do is adjust your idle depending upon electronic demand. _________________ 1982 Porsche N/A |
