I think it looks good but perhaps using custom flange to head or 924 Weber manifold is necessary. Needs to be modified for 931. _________________ '83 924 2.6 16v Turbo, 470hp

The head side flange is not a problem. A lot of welding, but nothing impossible. _________________ WBR, Shurick

Intake from an 16V golf, 41mm and upsidedown? Please be advised that the flow is bad for the first runner, 133-150-156-156cfm@28´. I did some research and was close to buy the Dahlback racing inlet. The large port 51mm got the same problem 175-202-198-198cfm@28´
Wasn´t the spacing wrong? I measured 90mm c/c for the VW runners and Porsche got 95mm? _________________ Carl Fredrik Torkildsen

The turbo plans are simple: rebild and 2664 cold side from audi. It should be exact dimentions as CGT turbo in result.
Yes, the intake bits are from VW Golf II with KR engine. The first runner flow problem is well known, but the stock porsche plenum is even more restrictive. The overall air consumtion of the original M31 engine is not big enough to outgrow the abilities of 16v plenum I think. The spacing is not a big problem. We'll weld it out.=) _________________ WBR, Shurick

All parts are welded up. Needs some polish work, but already very pretty I think.

I like the universal 924 'bolt tray', bet everyone uses those!! In fact, even after tooling on down the road, bolts/nuts still stay there. Priceless! _________________ '83 944 Track car.

Unless you're running adjustable camber plates, then they fall through the hole _________________ Stefan

I've even found that the oil filler cap stays put there! _________________ 78 924 NA

The bolt tray is priceless and so true. A possibility to improve flow might be to mill a tapered spacer that changes the throttle body angle probably by only a few degrees to improve the approach angle.
I could probably make one of these out of plastic on my cnc router if I had dimensions. Once the overall dimensions are set, trying different angles is a very quick change. I would not get a good enough surface finish to the spacer so that std. gasket material could be used without making an entire second holding device for every angle as my unit is a 3 axis rather than 5 axis machine. When I cut with a .125" round router bit and use a .008" cross feed I get a surface scallop of maybe .001-.002"(I can't measure it). The bolt holes would have to slightly oversize to compensate for angle change, and the bolt heads would no longer be square to the TB. I have quite a bit of 1/4" acrylic around and can also get 1/2" cutting board scraps easily. That could be fun. _________________ Mike
