With all of the cleaners out there, what products get the best cleaning results for carpets...without replacement?

Believe it or not, 50-50 mix of Simple Green and hot water combined with a stiff bristle brush and elbow grease will do wonders. Helps to use a dehumidifier after scrubbing to dry things out, then follow with a vacuum. I've also used the Electrolux shampoo with good results.

Having said that, it sort of depends on what you're trying to clean out of the carpets...

Thanks! The carpets are in fair condition as they sit. I picked up the car from a guy in Wisconsin and the car had been sitting in a garage since 1998. The carpets I think just need a very good cleaning. I have to say this board is a life saver for advice and parts!

If you have any problems with musty smells in the carper try this stuff:

http://www.drillspot.com/products/623891/dephyze_grdhccp12q_carpet_cleaner_disinfectant?s=1&catargetid=1623454804&gclid=CMDD1_P87bQCFck7MgodtTUADw

The Dephyze products are amazing. I had mold growing in one of my bathroom walls in the paint. I used their UltraClean spray and it took all traces of the mold away and none has come back.
