Part number 999.701.621.40
This is the o-ring that seals the 931 oil filter console to the block. It was originally included in my 931 installation kit, but within the past six months went NLA.

I have now found a suitable replacement with the identical physical dimensions on the aftermarket. While I do not know the material of the OEM o-ring, the replacement is made of Buna-N, commonly used in oil sealing applications. The rated temp range is -35° to +250° F, and Durometer hardness is A70.

Going forward, I will be including these o-rings in my turbo seal kit. If any of you 931 owners would like one (or more), they are available for $2 each individually (plus shipping, of course).

Here are some pix to illustrate why this o-ring should be replaced.

New one on left, old one on right...a little hard to tell in this pic, but if you look closely, you can see how the old one is flattened out and square. In other words, it's lost it's rebound ability. What the pic also doesn't portray is how stiff and almost brittle the old one is. I can assure you that the new ones, when they were available, had the round profile like the new on on the left.

Here's another pic that shows how the old one is flattened out.
