I'm about to make an experiment with the tachometer, in order to make it work with the 6 cyl engine. An Omron proximity switch will give 12 volt positive signals, instead of the distributor.

But before I do anything stupid, I just wanna be 100% sure, what the wires on the back of tachometer are for, so I don't burn it up.

There are three wires

Green (signal)

Black ?

Brown ?
