Hi Guys,
Thought I would come out of the shadows and share with you my 924 restoration.
Its been going for about 2 years as I have other commitments such as Wife, Kids…Job, etc.
I started with a 1980 924 (white) non-runner (blown head gasket) and some decent rear end damage, I foolishly thought I could repair!!!
An old mate whom has been in the body shop game a long time advised me to “look for a donor car” as the damage was to big for me to repair at home and so I found a 78 924 (blue) with a good…ish body and a heap of other problems, like just about everything.
Anyway between the two cars I should end up with a good one!
I love jumping on this forum and checking out what other crazy 924 enthusiasts are up to.
Just have to work out how to post some pictures……………
1980 non runner

Wow is right. Tons of work going into that one, the finished product will be something you can really be proud of.
I like the wheels too, what kind and size are they? _________________ I got nothin'

Thanks Daniel,
I bought the blue 78 in Melbourne with Vic rego, and had no history. It did have a crappy attempt at EFI on it (corolla parts....ouch).
Cheers,

Thanks joejax,
It will be cool when its all finished, the wheels are generic after market 15" dia. I don't mind them, kinda look better than the standard 14"
Although I'd love get hold of some 4-stud wire (924 turbo style) wheels,
pretty rare in Australia.
Cheers,

If you have a spare steering wheel out of all that, I'm interested. I'm in Sydney, but can get to Melbourne fairly easily.
