Just a heads up,..

If you disconnect the EGR and vacuum tank you need to install a inline vacuum restrictor on the VR line, otherwise your VR maybe to much and you won't get proper advance period. Once installed, the car accelerated beautifully and still had the timing working properly.

This maybe a good compromise to keeping the VR connected and yet passing the HC test for any smog peeps out there. Plus, I think this maybe a better solution then blocking the VR off period.
