Was driving fine, just picked up the 924 from the shop from fixing another problem.... then it dies...

got it home and took the pump away from the car and tested it with some wire and a battery, seems to spray fuel fine.
Put it back on the car and try to crank, pump seems to do nothing whilst car cranks. Anyone have this problem before?

Clean/tighten the grounds between the taillights behind the carpet. That's where the pump(s) ground.

Next things to check are the under-dash ground blooms and the connections on the relay/fuse panel. Clean the fuses and fuse holders with a pencil eraser. Clean the connectors and connections on the back of the relay panel.

Finally, you can try to jumper the fuel pump relay and see if that gets the pump running. If it does then your fuel pump relay could be bad.

I just went through and added new ground wires to the block and the body of the car. The stock ones, they looked large enough, but they where so old that huge thing of wire was cut with a pair old scissors.

Honestly, if I had the time, I would rewires the entire car as the wiring is pretty old in these things.
