|
|
So my '79 924 has been sitting for a decent while. It won't start so I figured ill start with the obvious. The fuel system. Were exactly should I look first? I have two bottles of techron fuel cleaner and a decent toolset.
Thanks guys, hope to be contributing here more often from now on. |

you can try those,.. but honestly I am in the same boat and I am just about to climb out of this mess. Fist thing,.. make sure you got the right fuel filter installed. Check my other posts, long story short, you got to do your own research on the filters other wise you may end up with a wrong one.
Also, today I just cleaned out the WUR. That thing was clogged up. I took apart the lines and pulled the screens out and sprayed brake cleaner and it cleaned out a lot of grime.
So filters and WUR, have fun. |

Thanks man. I've been following your story. Glad to see someone in the same position managed to get out.
Ill probably pull out the WUR and clean it up tomorrow as well as pick up a fuel filter and battery. I also have some cracks in my intake boot so ill have to get those taken care of.
Best of luck with your 924, really like the silver. |

So damn, might be stupid, but where exactly is the WUR? Looking all around my engine bay.. with no luck. Fixed a lot of things, but never a car.
Thanks. |
