Dropped my keys on the way home on canada day, they were no longer where I dropped them when I went to get them the next afternoon...

So, if they don't get returned, will I have to swap in a new ignition lock cylinder?

I can imagine how much of a pain in the ass that would be....

I'm pissed because I had just gotten it running and was excited to drive...

Assuming hatch and ignition use same key. Remove hatch lock barrel and take to locksmiths to get new key made, and while you're there get a second.

Unfortunately that is not the case. Ignition key is separate from all other locks on the car

I think you should be able to have a key cut from the VIN, but that requires a very competent locksmith.

Read-up (skipchattybits) followed by How-to. Worked for us.
