Hi guys!
I took off the tie rod assembly (from the steering knuckle end till the rack and pinion end) to do something with it, and finally put it back on only to discover that i forgot to slide in the Stop Rings on both tie rod assemblies.
I need to drive to some place nearby real soon (only about 3 miles) , and upon getting there will do some stuff with my car, to include putting the Stop Ring back on. Is that ok (to drive the 3 miles i mean) ? Is there any possible damage, even minor, that can come from driving the 3 miles? The 3 miles i will drive can be taken safely at speeds as low as 30mph if need be. Thanks!

Stop rings are only to keep the pinion from crashing on the end of the teeth in the rack, which only occurs at full lock.
No danger, drive away. . .just don't repeatedly bang the steering to the ends of its extremes. _________________ Toofah King Bad
