I ordered a new injector seal kit, and when i put them on, the hats didn't fit like the original. I put them on anyway and have been driving my car with no problems. The new hats (blue ones) are a bit taller than the old ones. The needle is sitting in the hat rather than poking out. Could i be experiencing a loss in performance? Should I buy a different set that fits better?

While, those hats could be influencing the spray pattern, I don't think it would be that big of a deal. I've taken apart engines where someone installed the intake gaskets wrong and it was completely blocking the injector spray, but the engine ran great otherwise
Honestly, if you're really worried about performance, it might be time to send those old injectors off to be cleaned. _________________ '84 944 -White, Brown interior

Thanks man! I'm not worried about performance to much. I just wanted to make sure this wasn't going to cause any problems. I haven't noticed any yet. _________________ 1988 924S - everyday driver. |

Note the special section in the Board for 924S questions. . .might help you get stuff answered more efficiently in the future. _________________ Toofah King Bad
