Mine is cracked in 2 places. Ive put them in and even accomplished pulling
them I have an extra in the other car. Though dont want to pull it. Called a local windshield glass place that does alot of repairs for the local porsche
racing group here. I can take a new line tinted windshield out the door for 140 bucks.

I think thats pretty cheap, theyll install for 200 bucks. Ill dim it (do it myself).

Was there a question in there someplace?

I'd have them do it, personally. They have the tools and skills to do it quickly and without leaks.

No im going diy on this. the shop did say to use a urethane adhesive instead of the old butyl rope licorice rope for a better seal.

Nah, the paint fumes told him that it was okay. Luckily you don't have any carpet and with those big ass speakers, you can vibrate the floor boards to keep the interior dry.

Yeah, okay dude. So its $60 difference. How much is your time worth? For the price your time is worth, what could you do with that time while the dude is installing the glass?

Whatever, it isn't as if you actually listen to anyone here, unless we're giving you kudo's on whatever questionable "mod" you've performed lately. Do what you'd like and many of us will continue to read your threads and posts with bemusement and much head-shaking.

You've destroyed a rare 924 Turbo to build your car, so at this point whats the worst that could happen? A little soggy wood?

Joe if they want a total of $340 to furnish and install it, go somewhere else, the last one I had done was less than $200 installed at my house.

My neighbor will help me well do it our selfs. Though fiatturbo can go
jump in a deep lake.

I like the idea of upgrading the adhesive. thought it was a good to know.
Im not gonna hand over 200 bucks to watch 2 guys maybe do some fancy prep work and spread there fancy adhesive and then each grab a corner and set the windshield.

New windshield taking it easy on the bed in the spare bedroom.
I guess its a 3 part urethane adhesive. Consisting of urethane,
windshield pinch weld primer , and windshield primer. Way better then
the old style butyl rope that pro installers are not allowed to use anymore.
Nice windshield huh.
