Purchased a 1980 924 N/A from an original owner in California. Shipped the car to Long Island and I did some maintenance such as changed dist, rotor, wires, plugs, fuel injectors, gas and oil filters and warm up regulator, additionally some hoses but the car still doesn't run smoothly or has the power it should have (have had 4 - 924's N/A and Turbos in past years so I am aware what they can and cannot do) Still this car is just not accelerating and has some idle shaking that I cannot figure out
I am not a mechanic and dabble just a bit. Don't know how to troubleshoot fuel issues or test pressures I don't have equipment.
I used a "specialty shop" on L.I and he never made the car (1980 924 N/A) run better.
If someone on this board lives in L.I and can get my car running smoothly while making some extra money please contact me. I am willing to bring you the car or you can come by. I don't believe it is something serious just something who KNOWS 924's would find right away.
Desperately looking to make her drivable and reliable. So far regarding everything else she is.
