I will be visiting Stockholm from 17-20 Oct.
Any sightseeing tips?
Any chance of a local 924 gathering on Saturday 19 Oct?
Anything I can bring over (must fit in checked luggage!)?

I've already corresponded with gegge and Cedric...but thought I'd post here as well...

Better get your inoculations up to date. I hear you can catch some sort of syndrome there.

Funny, I'll be in town that weekend as well! Taking my Danish fall break going around Sweden. Perhaps we should meet up at some point while there?

The Vasa Museum sounds cool. My plan for the most part is to just kind of wander and check out some of the main attractions. Oh, and from what all the Danes tell me, Sweden is really expensive. And that's coming from people who live in an already crazy-expensive country.

Sound great, how about beer on saturday ?

Not thaat expensive, norway is worse IF you come from the us the biggest difference will be in restaurant and fuel prices..

Just walking around town is really nice if the weather is ok, especially along the water, Old town, the castle and so on, otherwise a little daytrip with a boat out to vaxholm, fjäderholmarna or even Sandhamn (then you need at least a full day though) is recomended, but mostly if its sunny. Its easy and not so expensive to go by boat.

Vasa museuem is cool, all tourists seem to love it And its located close to town, and on a pretty nice island.

If you guys are into beer (i mean qualitybear, not huge ammounts of crap lager) there are many nice places to go with huughe assortment with beer from every corner of the world (and many really nice swedish ones of corse)

Unfortunately I will only be in town Thursday and Friday, taking a night train that night to Gothenburg. Would any of you be up for meeting thursday or friday?

Saturday would be great for me, would love to go to some local restaurants and sample some local fare and beverages.

Unfortunately, I have to do conference calls with a US client on the west coast, so my Thursday-Friday evenings will be booked. I will be available in the morning on Friday for a breakfast meet.

That would be awesome. What time are you planning to go? I'll see if I can get out of late evening calls...

If it'll be done before 20.45 I'd probably be down.

What's the latest guys? "Rush" on Friday night?

Also, The Blonde did a little research and found a couple of interesting things going on:

Thoughts???

No tickets released for the weekend, they are supposed to be released tomorrow. So I cant answer until tomorrow It will probably be around 21:00 on friday if I guess. And grab a burger in town before that

Jazz festival is nice! If the weather is nice (looks a little shaky in the wheator report though ) getting out in the royal garden/castle in DROTTNINGHOLM can be really nice. Beatiful place to be in the atumn!

Add me to FB (Search for Cédric Nyberg) or I can maybe send you my cell number, can make things easier
