I really want to do this, but I am afrade being in Cali that this will make it fail a smog check. Has anyone done this and still passed a smog? I know we can adjust the fuel trim etc so I am not to worried as I would be if this was a modern car, so does anyone have any input in this?

Should not effect emissions on a CIS car. Also FWIW there is an Audi TB that is larger and bolts up.

Ya I know the Scirocco But I havn't been able to find one, and besides, if I can just punch this out,I'd be happy with that for now. I just wanted to make sure I wouldn't mess up the Emissions forever

Apparently this thing is to create a Venturi effect to create more vacuum for the EGR Valve.

Yea,.. after the race this thing is getting pounded out. If I need more vacuum there is another more powerful vacuum line I can tap into.

Yeah, they quickly got rid of that as it wasn't necessary and the cars weren't as enjoyable as they could be when strangled by that.
