|
|
17" Fuchs reps by "FOX"
F = 7.5, ET35
R = 9.0, ET16
They are coming off of a 1981 911 SC, which they fit great....
Link to site that sells them:

Anyone know?

Fronts will fit probably (I would not try to put more thasn 225 tire, preferrably 215), rears need you to remove the stock spacer, then they fit fine. But then you need new open ended lug nuts and long socket. _________________ '83 924 2.6 16v Turbo, 470hp

I think they will fit, but it will be a tight one and you will probably need to stretch the tires a bit. _________________ Supercharger and EFI kits

215 or 225 mm tire on 7.5" rim is no stretch by any means. Even 205 tire would fit there quite ok.
9" wheels take 225 also (I have 225 Toyo on 9" BBS rim) and it looks ok, but 235 is better fit and 931 wheel well takes it easy (255 mm can be fit to rear with fender rolling). _________________ '83 924 2.6 16v Turbo, 470hp

OEM spider webs are 7" with ET52. From the wheel lip to the body metal there is a gap of about 60mm (no spacer used) Please measure for yourself on your car the distance from the actual wheel (should be 7"ET52) to the inside of the rear arch.
9" wheels with ET 16 will extend outwards 61mm more than the standard spider webs.
In the end it all depends on what you consider as FIT...because 19x9 ET15 wheels have been tucked under the 931 body.
rears are 16x9 ET15

Well, I have fitted 9" ET36 BBS RS rim with 245 tire at the back of narrow body 924 without any modification and it fits perfectly when you remove stock spacer.
But I guess your opinion is worth more than my first hand experience.
As for front these fit fine. _________________ '83 924 2.6 16v Turbo, 470hp

I would start that OEM spiderwebs are not 7j, so everything else written is irrelevant _________________ Porsche 931 1980 widebody CS / no, stock again

Depends on your view of 'fit' and what suspension and tyre work you are happy to take on. Negative camber and some tyre stretch will help at the extremes of what will fit. Rolling the arches will certainly help although due to the thick dual layer of metal at the rear its not easy without damaging the paint.
Wheels are 17x9 in front with 215/40
and 17x10 in back running 225/45

Is this what spiderwebs looks like without center caps? Damn they look a hundred times better that way! Now I want some! |

I was just asking about rim/tire sizes are in the performance section and they couldn't answer. This is exactly what I was looking for. Even if I have to roll the fenders, these are nice. Do you need spacers at all? did you have to alter the offset? What info for the rims would I need to order a set like these?
Also, What suspension system would you recommend that perhaps maybe a bolt on solution?
Thank you for the great example too |
