So, as the snow continues to melt, I think about driving my '77 924 again and some things I want to get done on it. The first one is to replace the control arms, lower ball joints and shock inserts as things feel a little sloppy, and the arms are pretty rusty and possibly bent.
My question is: Should I stick with new rubber bushings, or should I go poly or even delrin? After doing some reading I've been thinking that maybe poly isn't a good idea and should just consider the rubber or delrin.

Poly. Works great when installed properly. Rabbit Mk1 bushings are cheap and so much easier to install compared to the stock rubber.
Delrin tends to deform and cold-flow in my experience. It's a good solution for a race car because they are serviced more often and the delrin is cheap and easy to machine so it can be replaced as often as needed. Though many race cars that are allowed to use any bushing material type will use bronze or heim/rose joints these days. The delrin will also be more harsh and send more noise and vibrations into the car. _________________ Stefan
