While the 924board is an awesome place to go for all the technical knowledge and friends among 924 lovers. After seeing what Magnus Walker is doing for the 911's I wanted to create an outlet for others that have that same passion and customization for the 924. The group isn't so much about the "stock" cars in their original format, but what people have done to it to make it their own more personable reflection of themselves. Come share your ride, your stories and more.
Welcome

Everybody is entitled to their own choices and opinions as well as everybody is free to speak.
here's my thinking:
I made my car for myself, not for facebook.
I own the car and the pictures of the car.
If anyone is interested in my car, they can see it on the free internet website of 924board.org or porsche924.co.uk
I dont need a sense of belonging to a facebook group or a certain label.
I recognize that I am biased as i dont like and I dont use facebook.
I'm against its core principles and functions, as I am against its effects on society and individuals.
So i wont join _________________ Supercharger and EFI kits

Here's my thinking:
I love the boards, I really do. There is a wealth of information on here that is unfounded anywhere else on the internet and for that I am forever grateful for. When I need support you guys are always ready to help. However, this is, and always will be a "car guys" forum, and with that said there is a limited amount of involvement from the masses that I simply want to further then what is offered here. The group on FB is by no means any attempt to replace this board. In fact, I plan on it being an addition to the already growing number of places people can go to experience the 924. If people want technical "how to" knowledge I will certainly send them here. The FB group is not about explaining to people how to do a brake job or tune an engine. It is for people to tell their stories about how they found their car, or maybe it found them. A car is a reflection of ones self and those are the stories I want people to share.
That being said,..
Morgen, every time you post to me it is negative, I'm tired of being your punching bag. You are an a opinionated person, I get that, and being a guy from the US I respect that, post all you want here. However, your posts, for me, are getting old. Most of the time when people are opposed to FB it is because it's ability to let people self govern the content and conduct, so when your troll is happy it can be easily dealt with there with a simple delete. I have tried time and time again to promote the positive things I am doing with my car, with video's I have been posting or things I have been doing with my car, but when you post negativity like you normally do, it spreads to other people like wildfire and it makes me think twice about posting here again. The last time I was here like a month ago, it annoyed me so much that I didn't drive the car for the entire time I was gone from here. It's people like you who have driven me away from this site in search of something different. I love what Magnus Walker is doing. He's not your typical Porsche guy yet, he is about styling and passion I can relate to. While that maybe a new chapter in my story about owning a Porsche, the previous chapter "Getting Trolled by Morgen" is a chapter I really don't want to relive again, nor from anyone. It really does sadden me when this happens not only to me but anyone. I'm tired of you and your kind. So,.. My plan is instead of trying to get my friends to come to this site and risk being trolled by you, since none of them own a Porsche, I will send them to the FB group instead, because I highly doubt any of them want to know how or why they should clean out a fuel distributor. I'm taking advantage of a place they are already members of, I can post much easier with video's and content, I can can involve them just a lot more. They have no reason to join this site.
So for anyone that wants to join me in my quest to promote positive stories, and share experiences,.. I welcome them.
So, Morgen, no, I don't want you to join |

I admit I am a fan of Magnus Walker and applaud him for taking his own route and showing his love for the 911. I am happy that he bought a 924 Turbo and am still waiting to see what route he will take with the 924.
I know that I have my plans for my car. I love my little 924. It is getting some good use and the more I drive the car the better I feel about owning it. These are a joy to own, easy to maintain and a ball to drive.
The more that we can share our passions I think it is a good thing. Not everyone likes or uses facebook, and everyone has their own opinions. That my friends is what makes us all great. Enjoy the cars, enjoy the people, enjoy life. _________________ Cheers;

Hey, dont get me wrong, i'm not against you in any way.
If you think i'm opinionated or trolling you i'd say you're overdoing it...but anyway...remember i was here long before you not the other way around.
Like i said at the begining, its a public forum and as i explained myself, i wont join for various reasons...tho i have a modified 924. _________________ Supercharger and EFI kits

Maybe that's true. Must be why I sold mine.
And I've only seen PICTURES of Rasta but I believe he does look like his car. _________________ '80 924 n/a SOLD |
