Yes, that should work.
You will need a pair of these too:

Just be aware, the steering knuckles on the PS setup are bigger and will interfere with the A/C compressor unless you make some significant modifications to how it mounts. _________________ erstwhile owner of just about every 924 variant ever made |

Thanks Dan. I frequent your site often. Not sure I'll need your brackets though as I tend to fabricate instead of buy... when I can at least. If I feel lazy though, you'll get an order from me. LOL! _________________ '80 924 Turbo - SOLD!

Any ideas on where you plan to mount the pump? _________________ [This Space For Rent] |

Between the AC compressor and the alternator. I've got the coolant overflow tank from a 944 ready to go on. Once that's out of the way, I'll have a better idea on what needs to move around. Dan has pics on his site of the brackets that need modifications too. _________________ '80 924 Turbo - SOLD!

Yeah, you really have to fiddle with the A/C brackets in order to get the compressor up high enough and out of the way. I ended up changing where the brackets mount to a different hole on the block...don't remember the details offhand, but if you can't find it documented here, let me know and I hunt down the details or post a pic. _________________ erstwhile owner of just about every 924 variant ever made |

I see this thread here about modifying the AC compressor bracket to clear the rack's intermediate shaft http://www.924board.org/viewtopic.php?t=27207&postdays=0&postorder=asc&highlight=power+steering&start=15 but I never did see pictures of the completed installation. _________________ '80 924 Turbo - SOLD!
