So I have been driving my car around with the flip up headlights. Thing is they are not lined up properly with the engine lid, and I want to move them in so the gaps line up better. Trouble is when I have looked at this there really isn't a way to "slide" the whole assembly one way or the other. Am I missing something. I will post pictures later of how they are lined up and the gaps a bit later.

Any help is much appreciated.

Yes the hood is installed correctly. I know it is how the headlights were installed, because I just kind of threw them in and didn't look to align them or anything. Pictures will be uploaded tomorrow

Here are pics from each side. (I hope they work) As you can see there is a large gap going to the center of the car.

Pics did not work. Are you trying to move them fore and aft, or side to side?

Pics need to end in the actual filename of the picture so blahblah DOT jpg or gif, etc. So on your links, when you view them you just need to rightclick on the pic and choose view picture and the resulting address is what you would use in the forum post:

Thank you for fixing the pics for me.
I want to move them side to side to have them better positioned as you can see from the pics, they have a terrible gap and I just want to clean it up a touch. Make it look that much better.

Thanks

Side to side adjustment is controlled by shims. The headlight linkage has to be completely removed to address this.

Stand by for pics.

Thanks Rasta.
I will wait to see how this is done. I was hoping it would be a nice simple thing to do, but when the snow flies then I will have the time to shim it up and move them over to have a better gap.

You'll have to pile a lot of shims in there to move them that much. You may find washers in the tube part of the frame that holds the light where the triangle mounts fit in. You can add/move washers side to side to center the light assembly over.
