when I first did my interior I rebuilt my window switches, filed contacts, lubed with dielectric grease etc...
and they worked great!!! perfect!!
and then they started acting up again..
if I jump the plugs coming out of the doors with my multimeter wires the windows go up and down great..
if I install an empty switch onto the wire and jump the contacts in it with my leads it also works just fine..
so my window motors and everything are good and works great but those damn switches..
I even expanded the contacts on the back of the switches with a knife hoping that it would make a better contact... no change...
ive tore the switches apart 10 times, adjusting the bends of the contact bars etc and just cant get them to perform correctly..
the funny thing is that with the switches put together they check out on my multimeter just fine, but then when I plug them in they wont put out a strong enough contact to actually move the windows..
its like I can hear something in the doors like the contact in the window switch just doesn't have enough balls to put a strong enough current through..
any ideas? im about fed up with them for real..
the only last one electrical problem left on the car to fix are these damn windows... grrr _________________ 80 Turbo - Slightly Modified |
