Bulb holders switched on the taillight. The holders and wiring can be switched around a little if you're not careful. Take both sides out and compare the proper one to the incorrect one and make sure they are in the correct order.
Might as well check the bulbs, wiring and connections while you're in there.
You might look at adding an extra brake light bulb holder while you're in there:

ALL bulbs have already been replaced. Even though I never disconnected the connectors because there was need to, to change bulbs, I tried changing connections now turn signal bulb flashes fast and lights up when running light is on, which it shouldnt be on when running lights are on. So I put wires back where they belong. This is a new issue. Ive owned the car since 2006 and know the connectors have never been messed with and were working fine. When the problem started I took the oppurtunity to change all bulbs. _________________ 1981 924 Weissach #88 |

| Did you replace the bulbs with the correct ones? Its sounds like you have a short across the circuits inside the housing. |
