Was getting ready to finally put the new turbo I had Majestic Turbo rebuild 3-4 years ago back in when I noticed a couple problems - The blow-off valve on the front of the turbo was remounted on the wrong side, and the orientation of the exhaust side is completely wrong. Seeing as it's been well over two years I don't think I can call them and complain...
Anyways, I think I can fix the valve, and I think I can fix the exhaust housing as it looks like it just clamps down on the side, but I just wanted to confer with all of y'all's expertise! Thanks! _________________ 1977 Porsche 924 - sold

| Yes, both sides can be indexed. Leave both sides loose enough to turn. Tighten the hot & cold sections to the center section last (after mount & manifold), this will keep everything from being in a bind and cracking the housing, manifold or studs. |

Call Majestic and ask before you install that thing. . .it may have sat so long the seals will fail. _________________ Toofah King Bad

yeah but .... kinda...
leave It loose (housings), then install it exhaust manifold-bearing housing bracket-intake housing to fuel dizzy in that order...
then tighten the turbo housing bolts that you can reach..
then you have to take it all back off again to tighten the rest of the bolts all the way around those housings unless you have some magic tool that can reach crazy places..
atleast, that's what I had to do.. _________________ 80 Turbo - Slightly Modified |
