I took my 924S home yesterday. at first I wanted to repair the front fenders, but after looking what work is needed, I might consider changing them up for maybe 944's or other fenders (what types fit)? I would like to keep as much of the rest of the bodywork of the 924, but don't know what combinations work. Are 944 fenders and bumper enough to make everything fit?

That looks fairly repairable with a paintless dent pulling solution. Maybe even try using a heat gun on the dent and slowly inflate a futball behind it, the metal has a memory and it will want to return to that, just needs a little help. Its not as if you could make it work, eh?

Anyway, the 944 front wings bolt right on, the bumper and lower grill are different so you'll want those as well.

You'll need spacers or late 944 front uprights and control arms to use your existing wheels or using your existing suspension; wheels with an offset around 23.3 to fill the fenders (called early offset or 85.5 and older 944's).

The rear will now look out of place so you can either graft on some 944 rear quarters (lots of extensive body work to pull that off) or buy a pair of Carerra GT/GTS rear flares and fit those which will require some effort to install.

That looks easy to repair without painting it. Look for professional help on this one and you will get away with maybe two hours of work to pay.

thanks for the replies. I was thinking about changing the fenders because the other side also has some small dents and dings. But I'll have to check the prices for different fenders and compare those with a repair of the stock fenders

944 fenders are different, wider. you can only use them if you also cut and weld the rear fenders.

The fender will need to be painted, the dent in the front is too creased for paintless repair. The paint will chip by the time the dent is worked out. It can be saved though, the color can be blended in the fender without repainting the hood and door.
