Wheels off the ground car on stands, drivers side engine mount stand very loose from block.

^yup.

Leave the control arms on the car, pull the outer tie-rods and steering rack, drop the crossmember, etc.

Getting the heat shields loose to get at the passenger motor mount arm can be a lot of fun!

Also the pan gasket has a bunch of pieces. I used the Rasta recommended products in the thread below successfully.

Personally, I'd pull the engine and do the gaskets and etc on the engine stand. You're not far from there and you can clean everything, etc.
