Got an electrician to try to sort out my mirrors. Drivers was easy as it was just a cut wire and swap. The passenger was off a 944 with different coloured wires and despite a search listing which colour went to which there was a few different oes but he managed to work it out.
However, when he switched the switch on the centre console to toggle the passenger, the drivers side moved as well.
He disconnected the passengers so only the drivers works with the joy stick.
Is it likely to be the switch or deep in the depths of the wiring is there a short? I plan to reconnect the passengers, get the mirror to the right position then disconnect it.

I would absolutely go after the switch first... _________________ Vaughan Scott
