Hi guys,
Having a bit of trouble setting up my 1985 924, im going through adjusting the fuel pressures but every time i open or close the gauge valve im getting different readings
I have had a look over various 924's and their metering heads appear different to mine, I have two solenoids on my metering unit whereas the others have one.....can anyone explain why? was it a 85 thing?
Please please can anyone shed some light
thanks in advance

Hi Jamie, I've just checked mine (after changing my WUR). How different are your pressures? Any pictures of the extra solenoid? Have you installed your jumper cable in place of the fuel pump relay?

They fluctuate quite differently. Anywherr from 1.5 bar to 4.5 bar and everything inbetween, when the valve is opened/reopened
The fuel pump is now operated off a switch (being race prepped) so have a good constant feed
The solenoid itself is exactly the same as the front-most one (or the one you would be seeing on yours), from what iv read and been told the twin solenoid setup was fitted to the very last of the 924's, but still not understanding how or why the fuel pressure os changing so rapidly and having a effect on the running, however will run perfectly fine if its running straight on the system pressure |
